About the opportunity

The Senior Research Fellow (Aged Care) is a joint initiative between Griffith University and the Queen Elizabeth II (QEII) Jubilee Hospital, Metro South Hospital & Health Service (MSHHS). The Senior Research Fellow will provide a functional link between Griffith University and MSHHS whilst undertaking practice relevant research and providing research leadership.

The appointee will further develop the collaborative and multidisciplinary program of research in aged care with associated clinical leaders, researchers, staff and students at QEII Jubilee Hospital and Griffith University.

This is a fixed term (three year), full time appointment split between Griffith University and QEII Jubilee Hospital. It is expected that the successful candidate will be available to attend both sites in person as a normal requirement of the role. Further, you may be required to work on either a temporary or an indefinite basis at any premises, which the University currently has or may subsequently acquire or at any premises at which it may from time to time provide services.

About you

The successful applicant will hold a doctoral level or equivalent and have a demonstrated track-record in aged care research and clinical experience. For the duration of the appointment eligibility for registration as a nurse within the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), must be maintained.

Salary range

Senior Research Fellow Base Salary $120,263 - $138,674 per annum. Salary package including 17% employer superannuation $140,708 - $162,248 per annum.
