Allied Health Assistant Part-Time Position
We are currently seeking a permanent part-time Allied Health Assistant to join our friendly Physiotherapy team.
Hunter Valley Private Hospital is the oldest working private hospital in Hunter area and specialises in a range of surgical, medical and rehabilitation services. The successful applicant will join our friendly team covering a caseload of inpatients and outpatients including neurological, orthopaedic, amputee and geriatric rehabilitation, acute medical/ orthopaedic surgical patients and aquatic therapy.
- Certificate IV in Health Service Assistance (Allied Health Assistance);
- Previous experience in physiotherapy department
- Demonstrated communication skills and interpersonal skills;
- Flexible, positive approach to work.
- Demonstrated ability to priorities workloads and work independently;
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary team;
- Relevant clinical experience in rehabilitation;
- Current driver's licence;
- Previous experience running group sessions;
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
We are conveniently located at Shortland - a short drive from the Calvary Mater and John Hunter Hospitals with direct transport routes to Lake Macquarie, Central Newcastle, and Hunter Valley and Nelson Bay areas.
