The Creighton University Arizona Health Education Alliance is actively seeking an experienced leader and visionary to serve as Radiology Residency Program Director in a well-established and prominent program.
The Program Director of the Diagnostic Radiology residency program is directly accountable to the Department Chair at the training site they are primarily based/employed, and indirectly accountable to the Regional Designated Institutional Official (DIO) based in Phoenix, AZ.
In 2017, Creighton University, St. Joseph s Hospital and Medical Center, Valleywise Health, District Medical Group, and Dignity Health Medical Group entered into a strategic partnership to strengthen and expand the Graduate Medical Education programs offered by each institution. The move brought together the administration of the residency and fellowship programs previously managed by each member under the Arizona Health Education Alliance, with Creighton University serving as the sponsoring entity.
The Program Director will be provided with the salary support required to devote 50 percent FTE of non-clinical time to the administration of the program. Our four-year, 32-resident program is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
St. Joseph s Hospital and Medical Center and Valleywise Health are the primary clinical sites. We are dedicated to the growth and education of young radiologists who will serve as leaders in their field. We educate, train, and inspire our residents so that each graduate, as a board-certified radiologist, is committed to improving patient care through diagnostic imaging.
The radiology services at both hospitals have robust diagnostic radiology services providing care in all subspecialties including abdominal, thoracic, cardiac, musculoskeletal, pediatric, interventional, breast and neuroradiology as well as nuclear medicine. Premier training is offered in all imaging modalities including radiography, ultrasound, CT and MRI. Residents achieve individual success and their top choices for fellowship in competitive sub-specialties and prestigious programs.
Ultimately, we aim to develop balanced radiologists who are committed to selfless service as an educator. Each member of our team brings a unique perspective that enriches the program s diversity.
