Job Duties - Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant
Consultation and Referral: Establish and maintain ongoing supportive relationships with childcare providers and deliver mental health consultation and technical assistance to childcare providers (both licensed and non-licensed) in the communities served.
Training: Facilitate delivery of training to Early Care and Education providers.
Community Liaison: Work proactively to improve and facilitate understanding of the Early Care and Education field and the Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health field.
Professional Development: Enhance professional competence through ongoing awareness of developments in the field of early childhood mental health and development.
Quality Improvement: Contribute to quality improvement through active participation in Quality Improvement/ Utilization Review activities.
Record keeping: Maintain all records as needed and assist in the gathering of data and preparation of reports required by regulatory agencies and/or necessary for program evaluation.
Master s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Infant Mental Health, or related human services field.
Preference for at least 2 years of experience related to counseling, early childhood, and infant mental health.
