Cambian Group, the UK's largest provider of specialist services in children's residential care, education, mental health rehabilitation and learning disabilities, is looking for a dedicated individual to join the company as a Mental Health Practitioner. This post is a newly created role to join a successful expanding therapy team at Wing College in Bournemouth, the post will require someone who is motivated to work with young people and help them reach their personal best.
Cambian Wing College is a specialist further education college placements for young people aged 16-25 with a diagnosis of Asperger's Syndrome or high-functioning autism, offering day placements and 38 to 52 week residential placements.
Job Role
You will be joining an established onsite clinical team of professionals that include, Mental Health Nurse, OTs, SaLTs, Psychology and Psychiatry all providing a therapeutic service to young people placed at the College. You will be working alongside the existing mental health practitioner assessing and identifying the student's mental and emotional health needs taking a "hands-on" approach. It is essential that you will be a strong team player, with excellent communication, organisational and time management skills. Following the initial assessments you will undertake either direct and/or indirect work including with students, holding a skills lead case load, delivering tailored groups with student's and members of the MDT, offering reactive and proactive ad-hoc support, alongside consultation and training to both educational and residential care staff. The role will require autonomous practice and an individual who is able to think 'outside the box'.

Person Specification
Hold a professional and accredited registration with relevant professional body
Candidates for this position should be RGN/RLDN/RSCN qualified with a current NMC PIN number.
Be a strong team player, with excellent communication skills
Good organisational and time management skills.
