A brand new opportunity has just become available for a Mental Health Recovery Worker to work within a Private Mental Health Crisis Service in Burnley.

Temporary Pay Rate: £12ph ltd

Hours and length of contract:

FULL TIME 37.5 hours (part time may be considered)
Flexible shifts INCLUDING SLEEP INS
10:00 - 18:00
11:00 - 19:00
Sleep: 14:00 - 22:00 & 08:00 - 16:00
Initial 4 week contract length, likelihood of extension
The manager is looking for the position to be filled ASAP.

Daily Duties:

The service is a short term mental health recovery service for adults over 18 years of age requiring a structured rehabilitation programme to support them with the mental health issues they are experiencing. The aim of the service is to prevent hospital readmission and help the service users live as independently as possible.

The service supports 5 adults for up to a maximum of a 7 day stay and as a recovery worker you will support the service users with crisis interventions.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Liaise with clinical teams to discuss service user needs and make referral decisions
Support individuals who present in a range of ways, including low mood, depressed, anxious, manic, self-harming, and experiencing suicidal thoughts to develop their own coping strategies to deal with crisis situations.
Lead on risk management and safety planning for individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. Implement brief, structured support and safety planning programs to deliver agreed outcomes in a short period of time
Introduce therapeutic tools and interventions to service users tailored to their particular needs
Develop domestic management and finance management skills with service users
Accurately maintain all recording systems - paper based and computerised
Provide regular reports as required

Person specification:

Relevant recent experience and an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care DESIRABLE. In date clean DBS.
