Mental Health Support Worker - Cambridge CB25 9NQ
Our clients are looking for a mental Health Support Worker to work in their care home based in Cambridge. You will help residents enjoy each day by making sure they get the quality care and support they deserve. You will assist with daily living, providing support and companionship. Every day will be different, so you can expect to undertake work that is as varied as it is rewarding. As a support worker, you could be doing anything from supporting residents with their personal care if needed and following care plans to ensuring that each of the residents has one-to-one time. You will need to have empathy, a can-do approach and excellent communication skills to join our clients as a Mental Health Support Worker.
You will have experience working in a similar position and will ideally hold a Level 2 or higher in Health and Social care.
The position is a 20-hour contract, working nights. There is the possibility of overtime and you do require some flexibility, for example you will need to do occasional days when required.
Rates for entry level are: Weekday £9.00, Saturday day £9.59, Sunday day £11.51, Weeknight £10.00, Saturday night £12.50, Sunday night £15.00. For more qualified rates will be discussed individually.
Practical Duties will include:
Washing, dressing, shaving and toileting of residents if required
Simple meal preparation and cooking when needed.
Laundry and some housework
Medication - dispensing and recording.
Supporting managers and management structure in running of home
Attending team meetings and training
