A vacancy for a qualified Registered Nurse (Casual Bank) is exists at our client's medical facility located in Western Victoria. The Medical Facility
The Medical Facility is accredited with the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards, the Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency Ltd, and Home and Community Care National Service Standards. The health service provides an integrated health service which comprises acute, primary health and aged residential care with Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy and Psychology services. The medical facility has 69 registered inpatient beds with a 24-hour, seven days a week Urgent Care Centre (Emergency Department). There are 2 operating theatres (averaging 8 elective lists per week), with an 8-bed day procedure unit. PDH also provides oncology/haematology, dialysis and multiple other specialist services. Inpatient services are available for general medicine, general surgery, obstetrics, dialysis, chemotherapy, palliative care and transition care services. Elective surgery services incudes orthopaedics, general, ophthalmology, gastroenterology, plastics, urology, gynaecology, MaxFax, ENT, etc. There are on-site radiology, pathology and pharmacy services. There is a 30-bed aged care facility and a GP super-clinic attached to the hospital, with a comprehensive range of primary health, community and home care services.

Qualifications & Experience

• AHPRA registration as Registered Nurse
• Demonstrated ability to practice collaboratively and work effectively as part of multidisciplinary health care team
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, written, verbal and ICT skills
• Embodies person centered care in practice skills that aline with AHPRA registration requirements & ANCI competencies
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families/carers, staff and management
• Ability to provide timely care to patients
• Ability to promote cultural diversity and awareness
• Capacity to work in accordance with compliance requirements, PDH policies, procedures and direction for example OH&S, Risk Management and Quality Improvement
• Demonstrated currency of practice and continued professional development
• Ability to adopt workplace wellness principles ensuring mental and physical self-care
• Ability to demonstrate PDH values and mission in daily practice
