Role - Senior Supervising Social Worker - Fostering
Pay - Up to £40,088 per annum (£33,561 salary + £2,000 per annum Out of Hours Duty + plus £750 per annum Home Working Allowance + £3,777 London Weighting Allowance if living in a London borough)
Hours - 35 Hours per Week
Contract - Permanent Homebased
Homebased - covering Kent / West Sussex and some South London areas

An opportunity has arisen for a Supervising Social Worker with at least two years' post qualifying experience within an IFA or LA fostering team who is ready to progress their career into a senior role. The role would be to support our carers particularly in the Kent, West Sussex but also South London areas. Some knowledge of the area desirable but willingness to travel is essential. You will be joining a wider team within a fostering charity.
Main role requirements:
Post qualifying experience in family placement work or post qualifying experience in other childcare settings.
A proven track record in working with and on behalf of children, respecting and maintaining their individuality and promoting their positive development.
Up to date knowledge of relevant legislation including the Fostering National Minimum Standards and Fostering regulations.
Experience of working with/supporting looked after children and their foster carers.
Thorough and consistent administrative and report writing skills plus excellent communication and relationship building skills.
The skills to prioritise and work autonomously, against potentially conflicting deadlines with regard to regulatory requirements.
The ability to support our foster carers and their families to achieve the best outcomes for the children in their care.
You will need to have a BA or MA in Social Work to be a qualified and registered with Social Work England. An Enhanced DBS clearance is also required and will be processed by TACT on your behalf.
