Able to make decisions in complex situations, sometimes on the basis of uncertain information and must be able to accept that you will be working in situation in which risk taking in relation to decision making is inherent
To demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation e.g. Mental Health Act 1983, Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and any subsequent legislation.
With good interpersonal and communication skills you should be able to demonstrate that you are able to work under pressure; that you are self-motivated, able to use your own initiative
If you are an AMPH that you are able to work outside of normal working hours on a unplanned basis and at short notice on occasions
To be a qualified AMHP or willing to train and practice as an AMHP
To be a registered social worker with the Health & Care Professionals Council and maintain a continuing professional development portfolio
To be able to travel widely within and outside the Authority on occasions, so you must have either a driving licence and provide a car or have access to appropriate means of travel
CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE:
1. HAVE DEGREE IN SOCIAL WORK OREQUIVALENT
2. 5 YEARS REFERENCES
3. DRIVER'S LICENSE
4. SOCIAL WORK ENGLAND (SWE) NUMBER
