ABOUT THE POSITION

We are looking for an experienced social worker or therapist who is passionate about early childhood development and social-emotional learning to join our team as a therapeutic content creator. This individual will support our creative, marketing, product, and sales departments to create and/or review brand content and messaging to ensure that it is in line with the therapeutic theories that build Slumberkins brand philosophy. The ideal candidate will thrive at writing both short form and long form and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver the type of content that is needed across the company. This role reports to the Director of Therapeutic Content.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Marketing

* Attend marketing copy at creative reviews for therapeutic alignment and accuracy.
* Support in the writing and review of specific copy in combination with the marketing team, as needed for campaigns, website, marketing materials.
* Writing of content and review of content for social media (initially to be reviewed with the Director of Therapeutic Content).

* Highlighting info from Tech copy and blogs to be utilized in social media efforts.
* Support in the response of sensitive social media subjects when the director of Therapeutic content is unavailable.
* Writing of SEO blog content (sometimes authored, sometimes ghost written) to be reviewed the Director the Therapeutic Content

YouTube

* Support with the development of new content in collaboration with the Education Department.
* Support with the implementation of Youtube content including being present during the filming and execution of Youtube as needed.

Other:

* Support in the review of print materials such as activity pages, SEL activities and additional content in collaboration with the education department. Reviewing for brand alignment, developmentally appropriate, and therapeutic accuracy.
* Tech copy Research and Support: research specific topics related to collections to add specific tips/facts and research to the tech copy for marketing purposes.

Requirements

* Licensed in Social Work, Counseling, or School Counseling, or equivalent degree

* Proven experience and knowledge in:

* Child development from 0-18 years of age
* Evidence-based parenting approaches (in alignment with Slumberkins approach)
* Attachment theory, Family Systems Theory, Best Self/Shadow Self concept

* Long form and short form writing experience for blogs and marketing purposes
* Ability to manage competing timelines and prioritizing projects
* Excellent time-management skills
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
