With some pupils having spent some time outside of the classroom this year, there is a massive focus on supporting the mental health of pupils who have been impacted by this turbulence. We are currently seeking Teaching Assistants to support these pupils on a 1:1 basis for the rest of the academic year in a Specialist school based in Patchway. As a Youth Mental Health Support Worker, you will be involved in not only supporting pupils within the classroom but will also be comfortable with doing activities with the pupil/s outside of the classroom as well. Alongside the class teacher, you will also provide support with ensuring the right support is in place for the pupil.
This will be on a full time basis and full support & guidance will be given. There will also be opportunities to complete additional training, including Team Teach.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone that has experience of supporting pupils in school or a residential setting but we will also be considering people without this experience.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see (url removed)/faqs for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
